Francis Nyarku
Peer Mediation Coordinator (Public Allies)

“If you are neutral in situations of injustice you have chosen the side of the oppressor.”– Desmond Tutu

Francis’s responsibility, as the Peer Mediation Coordinator, is to ensure that students and teachers in all four of CLIA’s Law & Leadership Academy schools have adequate support and resources to receive effective training on Peer Mediation.

He completed his first year of AmeriCorps – Public Allies service at the MT. Washington School, where he coordinated a peer mediation program and an after school application coding club. This experience gave him a passion for teaching conflict resolution.

Outside of work, Francis has a love for art, social justice, STEM education, and entrepreneurship. In his spare time, he likes to read, play games, write, and make music.

Francis is an expert in the art of overthinking, random facts, video games, and the 90’s.
