As the Field Organizer for the Just Kids Campaign, Sarah is responsible for community outreach and building an intersectional base of support for ending the automatic prosecution of youth as adults in Maryland. She works on the Public Policy team to influence policy change at the state level.
Previously, Sarah was a Field Organizer on a 2015 political campaign in Virginia, where she mobilized a team of over 40 interns and volunteers across high schools, universities, and neighborhoods to build broad community support. During this time, she designed and implemented several ‘train the trainer’ sessions for ‘Get out the Vote’ campaigns and subsequently achieved the second-highest voter contact rate of 75 Field Organizers in the state. Additionally, Sarah has partnered with a Phoenix-based group home that works with aged 11-17 survivors of sex trafficking to develop and lead training’s around personal and professional development. She has also worked with two firms and led research teams to identify trends and evaluate 7,000 foreign aid projects.
As a new Baltimore resident, Sarah’s favorite pastime is exploring the ins and outs of the city’s neighborhoods. She also enjoys sunrise runs along the waterfront and turning strangers into friends everywhere she goes.
Sarah is an expert in stumbling on quirky farmer’s markets, convincing herself she deserves the donut, and having the loudest laugh in the room.
