RYAN TURNER

Board Chair

Ryan previously served as the third executive director of CLIA until July of 2021. He is presently serving as the founding executive director of the Baltimore GreenLight Fund. He presently serves as the chair of CLIA’s Board of Directors.

Ryan holds 10+ years of experience in the fields of nonprofit management and human services. As a Baltimore native, his passion for the city motivated him to establish a community based non-profit in West Baltimore City. Historically, the organization focused on assisting community citizens with removing quality of life barriers. The mission later refocused on ensuring that students in Baltimore City are able to read on or above grade level by the end of 3rd grade using an arts integrated approach.

Ryan is a graduate of Coppin State University where he studied Psychology. Outside of CLIA, Ryan’s activities include serving the community with his fraternity brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and sharing time with family and friends.

Ryan is an expert in taking impromptu naps while sitting up.
